The Sacrament of Confirmation further completes and strengthens Baptism by a special outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit - gifts which seal or 'confirm' the baptized in union with Christ and equip them for deeper participation in the life of the Church and witness to the risen Christ in the world.

Confirmation for youth (generally the 8th grade/junior high youth) is normally celebrated here at St. Agnes in the Easter season. Any baptized adult Catholic who has not yet been confirmed normally participates in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) and receives the Sacrament of Confirmation during the Easter Vigil.
